A powerpoint will be formulated based on the main areas on this topic. The slides will be informative containing information that the student can note down. I will explain the slides further and based on any questions the student may have.
I think it is extremely important for the lessons to be focused on the main areas with time to go into which areas the student finds confusing - this is different for each student.
My experience presenting and educating A-Level students on criminal law was gained during my Undergraduate degree. As an extra-curricular activity I formulated a powerpoint on crime and evidence and went through the main points on my slides. I made sure to include activities to keep the lesson engaging and have a question and answer period at the end - this tested the students knowledge.
I also included a question time period where the students could ask me any questions that they had on any topic - I would then run through the answers and thoroughly explain the area to ensure that they understood.
My lessons are not lectures, I like to include the student at every point to ensure they are engaged and actively taking in the knowledge instead of just listening and reading. I do tailor the lessons to the student - therefore if they have a different learning style, I will include aspects of their learning style in the next lesson. The student is the most important part of the lesson.
