Millie Hunt

I currently teach art in additional needs school's, art studios and to private clients. I have experience across multiple mediums as I am a multidisciplinary artist. I am able to deliver high quality lessons and support in developing both practical and theoretical work.

My love for all things creative gives me an energetic teaching style, focussing on sharing relevant information, techniques and artists/designers/creatives. I am fully confident in my ability to demonstrate practical skills and to present information in an accessible and engaging way.

Focussing on building relationships first establishes an understanding between myself and the student to outline the desired outcome of our sessions. This also helps to improve communication, unearth gaps in knowledge or practical techniques, and explore desired pathways for the future. Providing positive and constructive feedback helps to improve the student's performance and boost confidence and ability. I treat all individuals with respect and understanding, and to encourage conversation and experimentation in practice.

When working with younger students, I regularly touch base with their point of contact to ensure they understand our progression and any requirements for future sessions - and just to stay in contact in general!

I am open to working with people of all ages and abilities - working towards a qualification, exploring new art methods or for the pure joy of developing your creative practice as a whole. I have extensive experience of working with people with additional needs and can cater to any specifications required.
