Hi, my name is Millie and I am a psychology undergraduate student at the University of Southampton. I am passionate about the subject and I am looking to help others expand their knowledge too.
During my online sessions I like to initially get to know you and assess the different ways that you, as a student enjoy to learn. I will also ask what topics you struggle with the most and what ones you enjoy and then from there I can gain insight into how our sessions will run. My main specialty is psychology as I currently studying for my degree in this subject.
I will usually ask what you would like to go over in the following session and then take a few days to properly plan and make it tailored to your needs and the way you like to learn - whether that be visually, through analogies or a particularly interactive way through quizzes etc.
During the session we will talk through the topic of interest and break it down to its simplest components and when that is understood we will slowly build it back up and then go on to analyse exam style questions specific to the topic chosen. I have found that with myself and other students this is the best and most effective way of learning as it teaches you the techniques to answer exam style questions whilst also embedding the information you have previously learned in that session.
