I do not have any formal qualifications as a teacher, nor have I ever attended university. So, why me?

I remember a few years ago, getting one of my children a Christmas present. This present came from abroad and had all manner of instrcutions with it, in various different languages as do most things these days. The English translation was legible and understandable, but it wasn't quite right. I thought this could be improved to make it easier for not just English nationals, but all nationals who maybe learn or read in English or whom choose this as a language to learn. After contacting said company, we reached an agreement where they sent me a draft proposal for a different product, and I replied in kind with a few spelling and punctuational changes that suited it better for the target English market. Like a scaled down minute version of copy-writing.
The point of all this being, that regardless of anyones' background or qualifications, a keen eye for detail and some basic understanding of something that may seem complicated, anybody can help anybody.

I am not one to plan a lesson and be rigid in its' conception. I am more than happy to go with the flow, and take on board what each individual feels is right for them. This may be a 2 hour chat about an essay they have upcoming, or a 20 minute chat to brush up on their spellings. Nothing is off the table and each to their own I say.
