As a young teacher and Screenwriter, I believe that a good lesson like any good story should follow a structure. A proper plan to ensure that the students leave every lesson having learned something new or practiced an aspect once again. However, in my experience teaching young learners at Embassy Summer, I have developed my teaching style to be extremely flexible and built my ability to think on my feet. I believe it is vital to get my students to love the subject instead of bombarding them with technical details as this makes the lesson seem way too rigid and technique-heavy when creative writing should be anything but that. I take an informal but respectful approach to teaching and prioritize building a rapport with my students so I can help them translate the teachings to their specific needs.
The content of my lessons focuses on the usage of English in real-life situations as this is imperative when it comes to confidence building. What good is perfecting your English if you don't know when you need to use it? I like to incorporate games and activities in my lessons so that you can learn through practice and that each lesson feels like a fun experience.
I believe building confidence is the most vital aspect of English learning to bear the fruits in a practical and real-life environment, through my lessons, not only will you gain a love for the language but understand its usage in your everyday life.
