Hi, I studied photography in Lisbon and London to MA level, completing my MA Photography at the London College of Communication with a Distinction, after four years studying photography in Lisbon. I've also studied history of art, history of photography, and other photography-related subjects, and have done a ton of training throughout the years, from photography applied to digital preservation to sound archiving (with the British Library Sound Archive) and audiovisual preservation, to name just a few. I worked for many years as a heritage photographer, imaging specialist and digital preservation consultant, on digital preservation and heritage photography projects for institutions such as University College London, Imperial College, MUDE Fashion and Design Museum Lisbon, the Fado Museum Lisbon, The William Morris Society, the BT Group Archives, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, etc, etc. And I've also been an editor of late, specialising in open edition, high-end inkjet prints. I can tailor classes and training programmes to areas such as digital photography and digital postproduction, film photography, printing, studio photography, lens-based art, conceptual photography, etc, since I myself have worked in all these fields, and have also exhibited and published as an artist. Just briefly tell me what your specific needs are and we can fashion classes to suit those, but always aiming to provide you with something extra that can broaden your views of the subject you're interested, trying to link it to those adjacent to it and widening your understanding of the medium of photography and its place in the world.
