I have a passion for languages, a degree in French and experience in teaching. I have worked with students of various age groups and I am able to adapt my teaching methods depending on the learning style of my students. I am able to teach the basics of the language but also assist with learning French in a bit more depth.
I can also offer help with homework, assignments and speaking practice too. I believe speaking practice is just as important as writing practice because learning a language includes being able to understand and use it in writng, reading, as well as speaking. As a part of my degree, I studied in a French university for a year so my French speaking skills improved even further as I am now able to have a more conversational style of speaking. I am also aware of what the examiners look for when it comes to grading so I combine both techniques for doing well on exams, as well as practice and skills required for a more free conversation in French.
I have also done tutoring in person before, so I am able to work with people individually or in small groups and find a way to explain the content so that it makes sense and is easier to understand for the people I am teaching. I believe people learn by trying and while I do correct and explain things that aren't clear for my students, I also believe they need to be involved and will learn more effectively if I allow them the space to try their best and then show them how they can improve on it.
