I am a midwife since 1995, in my training in the Netherlands we needed to teach our peers and learn how to give antenatal classes. I worked all over the world and I love interprofessional learning/ teaching. I was infection control midwife and gave yearly updates to all maternity staff (from cleaners to consultants)with a personalised powerpoint presentation. I am taught with the PBL (problem based/ scenario based learning) system that teachers you life skills as well as knowledge and I love to teach my students with help of scenarios. I have been a mentor for student midwives, medical students and junior doctors, nursing students and paramedic students and qualified paramedics (obstetric updates). I help you learn what you need to learn and try to personalise the learning so you will retain what you learned better. My masters in education studies equipped me with different learning styles depending on your learning preference and together I hope I can help you to reach your full potential as a healthcare professional. I will give suggestions in how deep things have to be learned and maybe some additons on what you know; I like playing devils advocate to help you develop your critical thinking skills and I love a good discussion whilst learning something new from you myself! NB I moved to Aberdeenshire, I'm happy to travel up to 50 miles for a faceto face sesion. I also do sessions on Teams, ZOOM or over the phone if that's preferred. I worked with students from Scotland, England and the Netherlands so I can teach according to all those curricula.
