I teach both through integrated practicals, traditional 'chalk and talk', as well as conversational style. I prefer a mix of me lecturing followed by students working on knowledge through notes or exercises.
I will always used applied information and try different styles to work out what fits.
Online tools such as Mentimeter and Pedi are utilised, I also lecture through Microsoft Teams.
My approach is comprehensive and can include careers/onward education advice, as I have many contacts at institutions across the country and internationally.
I like to reflect in real world examples in order to help better embed and explain. I am definitely not somebody that shies away from an analogy.
