I am a fully qualified animator with both a BA and Honors level awards.
2D animation is my love and I have been running classes and workshops for 6 years, I am also teaching in a local college.
I have a lot of experience teaching children, teens and people with Disabilities.
I have worked for the Irish Education board, Medical Board and Northern Irish Education board.
I start initially with paper and pencils, teaching the simplest principles for animating. When the student/s grasp these first few principles we then move onto cut-out animation, claymation, flip booking etc. When the student is ready then we can move onto devices such as phone. tablet, laptop, PC. We would use one of the free to use animation programs to create your 2D animations.
All this will be done in a fun, relaxed atmosphere, I fully believe in fun classes as I find the students engage more with the work.
Over time you will cover all 12 animation principles, from the simple ball bounce to full on animated walk cycles, lip syncing the possibilities are endless.
We will cover idea generation, character designing, world designing, story-boarding, animatic's, adding sound effects, voice overs, the complete package will be covered over multiple classes. It all depends on each individual learner, I can cater for any level of student, depending on skill levels the course materials will differ from student to student.
