With my experience being in Elementary and Secondary Art education, my successes have stemmed from essential skills, including differentiated instruction and activity-based teaching. I love to encourage students to find their artistic voice, and really inspire them to believe in themselves. I typically work in a setting where I give background information and let my students test their knowledge on what they learned. Then I will give examples of the task at hand- by demonstration or video format. Finally students are given the opportunity to try the work/project for themselves and learn from their own experience. I am used to using google classroom to provide my lessons to students but I am also open to more one on one settings and video conference formats such as zoom. I hope to serve as a role model or source of inspiration to my students. Getting involved in a creative path helps in so many other areas of life. As a mentor and tutor I would help my students achieve their artistic goals -in whatever capacity that may be.
