Hello Learners,
My name is Teacher Thompson (BA Hons) graduate in Accounting & Finance and a Qualified Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Teacher.
First, I have worked mainly in the accounting and finance sector for eighteen years and currently within the education sector for the last eight years.
The reason for this change is because having lived and worked in different countries, integrating and socialising with people from difference cultures, customs, race, gender, and nationalities. I noted a vast number of people has not met the government standard of education, therefore my passion for teaching grew.
This has led to working within the British education system, supporting, supervising, and teaching lessons across the curriculum. Throughout these experiences while teaching, I have noted that some Learners are timid, nervous, lack confidence due to mainly ability to pastoral concern and also English is not their first language, which cause a barrier to learn.
By, supporting, supervising, monitoring and teaching these Learners both in and out of lessons, I have gained great satisfaction, in seeing these barriers no longer a hinderance to their learning and their progression in completing tasks. And most importantly seeing these Learners' take on the challenges in fulfilling their potential and reach their career goals.
Therefore, my methods of teaching styles tend to be flexible depending on the Learner’s needs from Facilitating teaching style and or the Hybrid/Blended style approach of teaching.
By using these teaching methods, enable Learners to feel relax to express themselves, grow in confidence and enjoy learning and completing the task set in lesson.
Therefore, on this note, I further teach Mathematics and English Key Stage 1 & 2 for children. Also, Reading and Spelling, and Functional Mathematics and English for all ages base on the UK curriculum.
