I like approaching language learning through conversation, step-by-step reading, podcast listening, and video watching. My focus is usually on current affairs, day-to-day life, informal language, and cultural aspects. I love talking about curiosities and learning about my students' languages and cultures. So be prepared to exchange!
I believe we can only learn a language by constant exposure and practice. Thus, I'll probably ask you to do some homework and continue your efforts in between sessions.
I don't like Google Translate. It's not accurate and when it comes to Portuguese, it's not European Portuguese. I'll ask you to have a dictionary (or dictionaries) at all times.
Anyway, I'm open to ideas. We can talk and you can tell me what your needs are, what you can or can't do, your likes and dislikes, your main goals and interests, and anything you'd like to focus more on so we can work out a plan that fits us both.
My work schedule is flexible for now since I'm a freelancer. I try not to work on weekends or late at night. But everything is negotiable within reason.
I'm currently in Portugal, so my classes are only online. But, if you ever come to Portugal, to the Lisbon district, we can meet and have some sessions in person or perhaps even a guided tour.
Let's get you to speak European Portuguese fluently now!
