Michelle Beswick Beswick

I am a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic teacher. My style of teaching is learnt from studying Montessori methods of teaching, which encourage positive regard for the student and the fostering of independence. I nurture each student's natural desire for knowledge, understanding, and respect. My teaching is also systematic in style, yet fun and engaging.

My experience entails tutoring children and adults of all ages and abilities. I have taught English as a Foreign Language to students in an International School in Japan. I also taught Business English and Conversational English to adults in Japan.

My Montessori experience entails two years as a Homeroom Teacher in Japan and two years in a school in Australia. I worked with children aged 3-6 years. I then worked in Phuket, Thailand for two years as a Homeroom Teacher with students in Grade 3.

Previous to this, when I was a university student I tutored children in English, Maths, and Science for four years. I enjoyed this experience and it encouraged me to undertake further study in teaching.

My love of teaching was increased when I undertook volunteer teaching with Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, India for six months.
