I have 17 years experience as a Primary School teacher and 10 years of delivering German tuition for all levels of ability, as well as tutoring Primary Maths and English. Lessons can be face-to-face or online, using platforms such as Zoom or Skype. I also use other online resources, such as Quizlet to help with revision and strive to deliver engaging lessons which focus on learning style and progression. I introduce the correct pronunciation of the alphabet and double-lettered phonemes and 'Umlaute' first, before asking the learners to read simple texts to get them used to saying the words themselves. Grammar is taught in clear, manageable steps, so that students are increasingly able to build correctly structured sentences. I try to plan personal and engaging lessons, which take interests and hobbies into account to make the subject matter more enjoyable. Getting to know Austrian, Swiss and German culture is equally important, as this is what makes learning a language relevant.
