I have extensive experience in both digital and in person pedagogy. I also have a level 5 and a level 3 Teaching and Learning qualification, therefore have QTS.

I also have worked in the zoological industry, as such I am not only proficient in teaching the biological sciences but also applying the theoretics to relatable and practical situations. I studied Chemistry and Physics at A level and have taught secondary science, inclusive of these two subjects. This allows me to be effective at the more Bio-chemistry and organic chemistry streams of many A level biological science curricula.

In terms of the format of teaching, all resources I produce or work through with you I will make available either through Google Classroom or Microsoft Office as I have access to both these platforms and am experienced in using them in the context of education. I will always meet with the client and in the first session, identify where the client is requiring my support the methods and discuss with the client the manner to which they learn and keep interest in a subject.

Then I will devise a scheme of work and homework activities (subject to the clients requests) to ensure that the topics remain both engaging and inclusive but not overwhelming, emphasising the use of correct language and exam technique to ensure that the student retains the knowledge in their long term memory and can express it efficiently in the exam. As someone who hasn't allowed a Special Educational Need to be a barrier to his own success, I sympathise with those who have such neurodiversity and encourage them to see how it can play a positive role in there education!
