Hello,
I am Mike from London (and Nottingham), England I have been in education for over 30 years and teaching for more than 25 - in the UK and several countries in Asia, including Nepal, India, Malaysia and Thailand. I have expertise in teaching primary subjects, especially English and Maths, but I can also teach English as a Foreign Language if you are an EAL student. I have studied at Cambridge University, have a TEFL Certificate and have a Master’s degree in Education. I am a kind and patient teacher, and in my lessons I will give you lots of opportunities to discuss, talk about the subject and ask questions - I think you will enjoy them and make very good progress. We will use games, quizzes, videos, chat and presentations in my lessons - basically whatever will make the lesson interesting for you and help you learn. I enjoy swimming, cycling, running, reading, football and playing chess. I am also learning to play the guitar. I have learnt to speak the Nepali language, so I can understand very well how difficult it can be sometimes learning new stuff or a new language. As I enjoy teaching students from different countries and have strong cross- and inter-cultural awareness, I am well placed to incorporate your interests and cultural needs and preferences into our lessons.
I am currently living on the 'Top of The World' - if you connect with me, I can tell you what that means (!) and we can discuss how I can help you with your learning.
