As noted previously, I mentored and tutored junior science and history classes in my school. This involved going around the classroom and answering the questions of individual students, sometimes this involved some time as quieter students could take a while before they were comfortable to express any misunderstandings. However, having struggled with science at junior level, I can understand these issues and have the patience to take all the time necessary to rectify any problems while also building up student confidence - which I believe is paramount for a student to succeed in their subject. Confidence will allow the student to enter that classroom with a new found passion to learn and master the subject, take extra time with the subject and feel more motivated to revise it which ultimately leads to a better end result.
On our online sessions I will have already pre-planned our lesson, however I will plan extra activities if we fly through or gladly take the session at a slower place to suit your individual needs. Everybody picks things up at different times and different way - I for one was quite slow at understanding things but as a visual learner, once I understood it, I totally got it. Therefore, at your own pace with the use of my explanations at different levels of understanding, visual aids and support of kinetic learning each lesson you take will be personally tailored to you, boosting you towards being a more confident and successful student. We will master your chosen subject together!
