Michael J Evans

As an experienced teacher with a passion for education, I aim to foster a growth mindset among my students by encouraging personal growth and the pursuit of knowledge. I strongly believe that education has the power to break down barriers, which is why I am particularly proud of my work with students who contend with social and educational needs.

My teaching approach is rooted in determination and relatedness, creating a supportive and collaborative learning environment. I have worked with a diverse range of students, from year 4 to post-secondary level, and have experience teaching a variety of subjects, including English, Maths, Humanities, Music, and History. I also specialize in exam preparation for various boards, including OCR, EdExcel, RSL, and ABRSM.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Arts with a focus on Music and History, a Master's Degree in Musicology, and a Professional Diploma in Education. I am also certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, Behavior Management Training, and Safeguarding and Welfare. I look forward to helping my students achieve their academic goals while also fostering a love for learning.
