As a tutor, I like to build my lessons around what my students are dealing with at the time which requires some explanation of topics they'd like to delve into. After gathering information about what area's to focus on rather than overviewing things the student knows or feels comfortable with. Furthermore, open conversations about concerns with the topics and questions are welcome anytime during lessons as well. Alongside, developing a personalized lesson plan, I love to ensure students can learn to workshop their writing and feel confident enough to provide their essays with proper formatting while also developing the tone of their writing. Students with concerns regarding different areas' upcoming and past lessons are always welcome to ask further questions as well. Communication is key and ensuring students feel comfortable enough to confide about their concerns is the number one priority as a tutor. Constructing personalized feedback for each student is crucial as well, I make sure each student receives individualized feedback for their work for more in-depth and personal feedback. I've found with students helping with time management is also a huge aspect of some lessons. If students express interest in learning more about time management for their class, discussing creating a strong game plan is always something I like to do as well. Finally, some of my experience with tutoring is within my time as a grader for Marco-Learning. As a Grader, I've provided feedback for over 1,000 students now since 2021 but making sure each student received individualized comments for their paper has been my number one priority with many students reaching out again for additional help on other papers.
