Miao Zhang

Hi all. I have half a year experience in teaching Mandarin and two and half years in teaching, and I hold a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I have helped students achieve their Mandarin language goals, and I have a passion for teaching this beautiful and complex language.

My lessons are designed to be engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics, or an advanced learner looking to perfect your skills, I will work with you to create a customised curriculum that meets your goals.

In my lessons, we will focus on all aspects of the Mandarin language, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I believe that the key to language learning is to practice and use the language as much as possible, so my lessons are designed to provide plenty of opportunities for speaking and conversation practice. I also use a variety of teaching materials, including videos, songs, books, and games, to make the lessons fun and dynamic.

In addition to language skills, I also place a strong emphasis on cultural understanding. I believe that understanding the cultural context of the language is essential for truly mastering Mandarin, and I will provide you with insights and information about the culture, history, and customs of China.

Finally, I want to emphasise that my lessons are student-centered, meaning that your needs and goals are always at the forefront. I am here to support and guide you, but I also encourage you to take an active role in your own learning and to speak up if there is something you need more help with.
