As a GCSE Biology tutor with three years of tutoring experience, I bring a strong background in science, holding a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience, and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Neuroscience. My lessons are designed to make biology both engaging and accessible.
In my sessions, I start by assessing the student's current knowledge to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. We then focus on the topics they find challenging, using real-world examples, pictures, and sentence generation exercises to make the material relatable and easier to understand. I incorporate online resources such as videos and multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to enhance the learning experience.
I encourage questions at any time during the lesson, even if they are off-topic, as I believe that curiosity drives learning. I love to answer questions to aid the curiosity of students, and I love it even more when they can ask a question that challenges me!
By fostering an interactive environment, I aim to make every lesson interesting and informative. At the end of each lesson, I conduct mini-quizzes to assess the student's progress and retention of the material.
My approach has successfully helped students improve their understanding and performance in exams. I have tutored three students fully, two in maths and one in biology, all of whom passed their exams.
If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals in biology, and feed your curiosity!
