I love my students to find personal ways to engage with the English language. I always try to centre lessons around the lives of my students, whether that is their University or professional career goals, or their personal interests, they will always be able to take something away from the lesson and use it in their every day lives. I use a range of media such as prepared slides and learning materials, videos, music, articles, among others.

I offer a free initial consultation to introduce ourselves and discuss your learning aims as well as asses your level of English. I am a qualified TEFL teacher so I often employ foundational techniques such as present, practice and produce where we learn new language points by seeing them, learning how to say them and what they mean and then by applying them to our wider understanding of the language. However, I also find that following the natural flow of conversation can also be beneficial. I make sure that my students are learning the most important aspects of the language, but I will always leave room for my student to suggest what they want to cover in a lesson. I am patient, flexible and adaptable and above all else, I want your learning experience to be rewarding.

I have worked for over ten years with international student community as an academic consultant, editor, proof-reader and English teacher. I have helped my clients to acclimatise to the British system, to structure and reference their essays properly as well as make sure that their written work in terms of their English skills is enough to get them the best marks. I understand the difficulties many other nationalities may have when pronouncing and understanding the phonetic sounds in English as well as other tricky problems such as homophones and homographs!
