My lessons will involve a variety of activities to help your child ace their SATs! These can range from going over tricky topics to help develop their academic abilities, to doing previous SATs papers in order to build exam technique and confidence.

During the beginning period of sessions, lessons will be purely content based to help highlight problem areas, allowing me to develop ability in that particular area. As sessions progress, we will begin to go through practise papers together, so the first time your child sees a paper, it won't be so daunting! Closer to examination period, I will begin to introduce 'mini mocks' where some may be done in exam condition, in order to provide a sense of familiarity; which will help build confidence.

I have previously had placement around my school during break and lunch times, aiding children who have found topics in lesson harder than others. I am also a part of my school's reading mentoring program where I have successfully helped younger students grow in confidence and skill.

Regarding lesson format, my lessons will be arguably informal as I would like to create comfortable environment where you child feels they are able to ask question and are not scared to make mistakes, as learning from your mistakes are the best way to learn! We will cover a mix of both Mathematics and English, to provide all round development. Before beginning sessions, I am offering a free video call to allow you and your child to familiarise yourselves with me and to discuss the most prominent areas of struggle.
