Hi, I’m Mia and I am tutoring in A level Biology (and Chemistry) in my gap year. I achieved an A* at A level Biology. I am going to study dentistry at Plymouth university following my gap year. In my GCSEs I got 6 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s and all 9s in all three sciences. For A levels I achieved an A* in Biology, an A* in History and an A in Chemistry and throughout school I was awarded 2 academic scholarships and 4 subject prizes. I have person experience studying the AQA A level course as well as experience teaching the OCR course. My sessions are relaxed and I teach in a way I know that I previously found most effective. I have a number of lesson resources and handwritten notes that all of my tutees will have access to and I base my lessons around whichever topics will be most beneficial. I also go through practise questions and past papers and can set work in between sessions if it would helpful. I also like to discuss revision advice with my tutees and how best they can prepare for their exams. At the moment I am teaching the majority of my lessons online through Google Meet but can also teach at my house near Chichester (West Sussex) I can be flexible in terms of timings and days so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. I offer a free first 30 minute session and I have references available on request.
