My tutoring lessons for A level students can be delivered on zoom or teams so that I can share my screen and allow for an interactive experience. These sessions can be delivered at various times throughout the week to allow for a student's other plans and commitments. At the start we can explore and understand content areas or concepts of their law course which are most difficult or need improvement, and assess the ways in which I can help to work with the student to provide a positive and helpful experience. I will work with the student explaining the law, important cases and principles that are key for understanding. I will help elucidate and teach how to provide answers in line with what the teacher is looking for in specific activities. Exam technique can be taught to ensure a student's hard work is seen and acknowledged for best possible grades. Within sessions I can provide example questions for a student to practice both within sessions and outside of them in their own time, as well as revision questions and tasks. Outside of sessions I will review practice questions through annotating and providing comments on successful points as well as points that could be developed further or need altering. This will provide valuable feedback for a student to help build their confident throughout their A Level and the exam period. Separate to specific law content I can help manage exam stress and anxiety by providing revision time tables, detailed revision checklists and mind map templates to help the workload be more manageable for an individual. Overall I want to create a positive session where a student can leave feeling they have made a step towards reaching their academic goals.
