I currently volunteer in mueseum helping out with school visits with children of various ages and I have experience working in a primary school as a volunteer teaching assistant. I would try and teach with whatever method the student feels comfortable as I know from experience, being an ex student myself all students learn differently. Some learning best by reading and writing but others learn by visualisation for example and I would try and be accommodating to both sides.
