Self-introduction:
Hello. My name is Alice(Min). I am a native Mandarin(Chinese) speaker. I speak English fluently (IELES overall band 8) and am learning French(current level B1). I did my Bachelor’s in China and obtained my master's degree in Finance at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. I used to be a freelance interpreter of CN-EN in China. Now I live in Aachen, Germany with my boyfriend, and I am soon moving to Paris.
What do I teach?
HSK 1-6 (I have all PDF and audio)
Chinese conversation
Intensive reading
Chinese listening/Dictation
Writing Chinese (Challenging)
Test your level with real exams
Teaching Style:
First of all, the primary teaching language will be English. I can speak only Chinese if your level is high. But from personal experience as a second language learner, I believe the teacher should talk only in Chinese if the student can understand 70% of the conversation, otherwise, it is not helpful at all.
My lessons are fun and interactive, you will learn not only the language itself but also appreciate with me Chinese culture, Chinese cuisine, Chinese idioms, ancient Chinese dressing style, Chinese calligraphy, and more. One fun topic will be included in each lesson.
Please reply to all these questions before booking any lesson:
1. Current level in Mandarin?
2. Why are you learning Mandarin?
3. What are your expectations?
4. Your location and time zone
5. What is your ideal class time? (Weekdays or weekends, daytime or nighttime, fixed or flexible schedule)
6. Private lesson or group lesson?
