Hi there!
I am starting my first year at medical school, training to be a doctor at the University of Glasgow.
During my time at high school, the majority of my subjects I studied at H/AH were sciences. I really enjoy studying and learning science.
I have studied Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Computing at both National 5 and Higher level. This year I studied Advanced Higher Computing, Chemistry and Biology. I achieved As in all of these subjects throughout my exam years, so I have good and recent knowledge of these courses.
I know that the courses have challenges, and that knowledge can be hard to grasp at first. With hard work, I managed to achieve my aims; you can as well.
If I were to tutor you, I would work hard to motivate and guide you through the course, building your confidence on the areas that you need to work on. My recent experience with these courses means that I can help you from a student's perspective.
My lessons would begin with understanding your needs and wants out of the session. We would revise over the course content, practice questions and review exam questions, as well as techniques to tackle certain question types.
I have previous experience teaching young people as a volleyball coach. While leading sessions, I have been organised and motivating to bring a positive atmosphere to my sessions. I believe this experience will benefit me as a tutor.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks, Mhairi :)
