Melissa Botha

I have been teaching English for over 6 years. My students are all different ages, backgrounds and have various English levels. I have taught from absolute beginners through to advanced students who just want to keep their English alive. I have a passion for teaching and helping others to improve their English as well as their self esteem. I help my students to believe in themselves and their abilities, while pushing them to do their absolute best. I use a variety of different materials, including: PDF's, videos, flashcards, textbooks, website activities, articles, audio files and more.

My lessons are age dependant and I customise them according to the needs of each individual that I teach. I expect my students to be hard working and willing to practice their English whenever possible. I will provide assignments to complete after the lesson to help keep what we studied fresh in my students mind and help them apply their new knowledge in their day to day life.

I am a very friendly and easy going, upbeat person and I do my best to make each lesson as fun and positive as possible for all of my students. I am TEFL qualified and I have a great knowledge of the English language and all difficulties it can bring, but I aim to make it as easy as possible for all to learn. Apart from being TEFL qualified, I am also qualified in teaching Business English and teaching IELTS Exam Preparation certified.
