I believe that anyone, any age, can learn a language. Many adults had bad experiences trying to learn langauges when they were school children, but in my lessons, we build confidence and skills together.

I've been teaching for over 20 years, and have been working online for nearly 10. I also teach exam classes in language schools, and every summer I teach in person on a pre-Masters course for STEM students.

I specialise in exam preparation, including IELTS, Cambridge, TOEFL, and Duolingo. I'm always interested in working with students preparing for other exams. I can help you prepare for the academic writing needed at a British univeristy, at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
I also work with people who want to improve their ability to speak in English: for travel, daily life, or work--including practicing giving presentations.
I have a lot of experience with student who have dyslexia and/or ADHD.

In the first lesson, I'll assess your work so we can focus on weaker areas. I expect that you will do about an hour of work for each hour that we meet. I use a lot of online resources, and am happy to recommend learning apps or games so that you can build a habit of taking mini-lessons during the day.

I only work with adults or teens over 16. I'm afraid I can't help with A-levels, IB, or Scottish highers.
I prefer to meet online, using Skype, GoogleMeet, or Zoom, but if you are local, we can arrange a meeting place.
