Experienced Music Teacher, having taught online and at my home as well as in Schools to different ages from advanced to beginners. My background and learning on performance was through Classical repertoire, using the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. My Educational training is based on Kodaly and Colourstrings which uses Solfege and singing by ear to enhance Musical understanding and Musicianship skills.
Lessons start after sorting out any tuning issues (which I teach all pupils at any level to do) we have a quick physical warm up, to loosen up and get focused for the lesson ahead. This is my time to check-in with you and see what you would like to gain/learn from the lesson. I have lots of tips and tricks up my sleeve to aid any technical issues (younger ones may love my puppets). I also use in my repertoire of learning aspects of Suzuki and Paul Rolland. I gained a Music degree from Anglia Polytechnic University plus work based training and accreditation through my membership with the European String Teachers Association. I teach and play many instruments the Violin, Piano and Drums plus recently the Cello and Viola. I have performed with Orchestras and Bands as I enjoy a broad range of Music Genres ranging from Classical to Folk.
I grew up in a Musical Family where the subject has been a large part of my life and identity which I wish to spread and help others explore to enjoy the best version of themselves at any age. In my spare time, I learn Aikido where I am on the Committee as the Child Safeguarding Officer and attend Church where I am an Elder and perform as part of Worship. I am looking forward to meeting plus getting to know you on our Musical Journey together.
