I believe that learning should be fun, and I work hard to create a comfortable, relaxed environment where students can feel at ease. With this in mind, I want the student to feel comfortable having easy conversations with me, so that we can build a strong rapport and work together towards their goals. My ultimate aim is to solidify the student's understanding of maths and help them become confident in their abilities. To this end, I'll provide plenty of practice problems and encourage the student to ask questions and seek clarification whenever needed. Throughout my time tutoring my family friends and also students at my school at an after school club, I have learnt that students have different levels of understanding, pace and approaches to questions. My approach to tutoring is simple: I would test students with easy, warm up questions to keep their general maths skills up to scratch. Then, the main goal of my tutoring is to focus on topics tailored to the students' needs. For example, they may be finding trigonometry or functions challenging. I'll use a variety of teaching techniques, including demonstrations, visual aids, and examples, to help the student grasp the concepts being taught. As we work through the material, I'll regularly test the student's understanding to ensure they are making progress. As a 17-year-old student, I understand that Gcse students may feel stuck or confused in maths (believe me, I've been there). Therefore, I believe I have the ability to help you students and achieve the best results possible with my efforts to aid you and your hard work and resilience.
