Each lesson topic shall vary upon the requests of what the student would like to be taught. I will prepare a presentation of the topic based upon the specific exam board contents at the start of the lesson. If the student is familiar with the content and prefers to focus on exam technique, then the lesson layout can be more flexible.

I welcome students to ask questions since this is a major aspect of understanding the topic. Throughout my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, there were many instances where confusion was cleared up by asking a few questions. Please don’t be afraid to ask!

Since these lessons are meant to be more casual, homework is optional and will only be given if the student asks. That being said, I hope the student will build upon the knowledge gained from each lesson by going over the topic area individually. Understanding and application of content to exam questions are the two crucial steps to achieving realistic but ideal results. At the end of each topic, whether a single lesson or several lessons are required to go over the content, I will prepare specific exam questions for the student to attempt. This allows the student to identify areas in which they require a bit of practice.

Before the first lesson I would like to know the academic goals of each individual student, so I better personalise their tutoring sessions, as well as the exam board and topic areas they wish to focus on. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic targets!
