Megan Wilmot

I’m a patient and friendly third year student at Queens University Belfast studying biological sciences. I have two years tutoring experience at a level and gcse levels tutoring biology and maths, were I organised and planned tutoring sessions with the student and helped them prepare for exams or gain confidence in any areas they were struggling in. In my alevels I got an A* in biology and an A in maths. I tailor every session to the students individual needs and create original resources and worksheets for each session which I email to the student in advance. I tutor using a range of worksheets, exam questions and past papers, videos and possibly activities depending on the students learning style. I also help encourage the student to reach their full potential by frequently giving words of encouragement and delivering constructive feedback in an encouraging and nice manner. Revision techniques are also important and I help the student find the most effective method that works for them. I have good knowledge of the curriculum and have a passion for helping people achieve their goals and enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge and expanding my skills. I’m also available outside tutoring times if the student has any queries or simply wants me to review a homework or exam paper, I’m always there to help! :)
