Hi there,

My name is Megan and I have been teaching English online for 2 years. I also have some experience tutoring people in person.
I have 5 certificates from the TEFL Institute of Ireland, as well as a degree in modern languages and business.

My teaching style is friendly and relaxed. I like to spend some time getting to know the student - their motivations for learning english, the type of learner they are, and the areas they most want to focus on. This allows me to adapt my lessons and styles to suit each individual student.

I like to encourage my students to speak as much as possible as I believe this is the best way for them to improve both their language proficiency and their confidence when speaking the language. Having spent some time living abroad and learning other languages, I understand how intimidating it can be to speak with a native. This is why I try to encourage my students to speak and make as many mistakes as they need to, because I know that this is the best way to learn how to speak a language.
