I have experience in giving group class tuition for GCSE English Language students and A Level French students, as well as individual GCSE English literature and French students. I create engaging content with games which aid memory and don't feel like aimless and incessant revision. A flexible approach is priority, all sessions are tailored to the way the student learns best, and if they find it arduous and tedious, then that approach will be abandoned. As an English and French fanatic, I aim to ensure that the students feel inspired by these subjects and see the interesting aspects of them (even if they initially can't wait to drop the subject as soon as the last paper is done). I do this by presenting the extra-curricular and functional uses of the subjects, although naturally exam technique will take precedence. This balance is achieved through organisation and lesson plans which mix the stimulating and creative elements with what is desired by the examiner, often leading to access to the highest marks. Since teaching is the best way to memorise content, I create lessons which are largely student led, acting as a guide and adding elements for improvement; although, again, it is imperative the lesson coordinates with the optimal learning strategy and ultimate enjoyment for the student.
I also have two years experience in teaching English as a foreign language to adults and younger students around the globe, which has enriched my experience and provided me with lots of practice to cater the sessions to each individual student. I look forward to working with you and continuing my tutoring journey!
