I will be teaching online over Microsoft teams using screen share and i will pre email any resources students may need to have access to before the session. The sessions will be laid back and the pace of the sessions will be dictated by the needs of the student.
I will use relevant examples from schools schemes of work as well as the students interests in order to make the content engaging and useful.
The content can be tailored towards individual needs of the students. I have been teaching lessons since October.
PowerPoints will be used to display the information and these can be shared with students after the sessions for further revision.
I have experience with a range of texts such as Of Mice and Men. A Christmas Carol, Inspector Calls. Lord of the Flies. AQA power and conflict poetry anthology, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas and more.
I am currently specialising in poetry: how to read for understanding and how to analyse poetry.
I can provide support for essay writing and exam techniques as well as support for creative writing methods and how to write transactional pieces as required on GCSE English Language papers. I can also provide support on increasing reading age and phonetics lessons are available.
Sessions can take place after 4:30 on weekdays or any time during the weekends
I have experience teaching a range of abilities so I will be able to adapt the lessons for a range of needs and skill levels.
