Meet Thakkar

My lessons are interactive: they allow the student to fully understand the course material with worked examples. This means they are able to fully grasp the concepts they are learning and this allows the techniques used to stay fresh in the memory. Maths involves working through lots of examples, and I do precisely that: helping the student and teaching when going through examples. I am always open to questions and aim to make the lessons as friendly as possible to ensure the student understands to the maximum of their ability. In my tutoring style, I prioritise creating an educational and interactive learning environment to engage students actively in the learning process. I believe that fostering two-way communication is essential for effective teaching, where students can freely ask questions and participate in discussions. I utilise various interactive teaching methods such as quizzes, and hands-on exercises to enhance comprehension and retention. Additionally, I tailor my approach to individual learning needs, ensuring that each student receives personalised attention and support to reach their academic goals. Overall, my tutoring style aims to promote a love for learning and empower students to become independent thinkers and problem-solvers. I believe this is essential for students to love the subject they learn, and as a consequence, understand it much better than they would have otherwise. I hope all students that I teach can agree with this after we are done: previously, I have worked with others to teach maths, and they have all found it extremely useful!
