About me

Hi my name is Meera. I have 15 years of teaching experience in both mainstream and private education. I have taught in a range of educational sectors, from university, colleges and schools. At present I'm teaching in a school in Derbyshire on a part time basis, to be current and well informed of any educational changes. Hi my name is Meera. I have 15 years of teaching experience in both mainstream and private education. I have taught in a range of educational sectors, from university, colleges and schools. At present I'm teaching in a school in Derbyshire on a part time basis, to be current and well informed of any educational changes. I have also worked with many examining bodies including, AQA, OCR and Edexcel.

I have taught in both face to face basis and online, one to one and in groups, in India, China and in England. I speak in five languages fluently and am currently learning a sixth language.

I am an extremely passionate, dedicated and experienced tutor, that thrives for learners to reach their potential. A student that enjoys their educational experience, will gain the confidence and motivation to progress to their greatest capacity, which is what I aim to do.

Meera supported Jack over the last year Before sitting his GCSE’s. Quite frankly I couldn’t quite believe his results.. he went from a 3 to a 6 in English language. Absolutely thrilled! Initially he was dubious about a tutor and we did teams to begin with and he warmed to it and they worked so well together Then as soon as they started face to face, Meera pushed Jack as she believed he could get great results and gave him the confidence to really excel. Jack got diagnosed with Dylexia in Year 9, and she pushed me to arrange extra time for Jack and supported with me writing email to school to push (as you need to push the school!) I liked the way she talked to him and has great conversations with him and made him think differently. She gave him homework but also homework for me to test him on. She’s such a super lady and without doubt I would highly recommend her. Happy to have a call with anyone interested but also Jack my son happy to provide preference too!

Meera is an excellent tutor who has helped my daughter lots and played a big part in her passing her GCSE English with a good mark! Meera is always friendly and sociable and is always willing to help out regardless of the situation. I would recommend her to anyone that needs help with English!
