I work to make my lessons tailored to each individual students learning style, whether that be visual, recollecting information etc. I think it is important to work to get them to a place where they are confident interacting with the material outside of the conventions of classroom teaching and examination in the hopes that this will give them a confident footing to use those skills in those settings when it comes to it. I like to split my lessons between working to understand the content itself but also working to maximise their own study skills and abilities so that they are confident looking at the subject even outside of tuition lessons. I come from an arts background so I feel myself to be expert in finding unconventional ways to grasp content and I'm not afraid to move away from the ordinary when it comes to revision and teaching. Above all I want my lessons to feel exciting and productive so the student feels fuelled to take their learning into their own hands and blast off !
