Maya Colwell

I grew up bilingual in English and French and am an avid reader in both languages. With an aptitude for language learning (I also speak Italian and German fluently) I have an excellent understanding of what it takes to learn a language. I teach at a variety of levels, from beginner conversation to beginning to read and discuss media and books.

As an opera singer, I can bring a unique approach to accent and pronunciation, having also worked extensively on language coaching for myself and others.

Personally, I am a great listener and a patient teacher. Whilst I am firm and thorough I am always happy to repeat myself or go over something that needs further explanation. I thoroughly understand the value of language learning both as a professional tool but equally as a personal skill that improves people's experiences both at home and abroad.
