I am writing to express my enthusiasm for the opportunity to become a Spanish tutor. With my extensive background in language immersion and fluency in Spanish, combined with my passion for education, I am confident in my ability to help students excel in their Spanish studies.
I graduated at Granada Hills Charter High School, where I have maintained a 4.7 GPA while pursuing the International Baccalaureate program. I have also earned college-credit-qualifying scores on multiple AP exams, including AP Spanish Language and Culture and AP Spanish Literature. I also hold the International Baccalaureate Bilingual Diploma, certifying my Spanish fluency in the state of California. I currently study at University College London, where I use my Spanish skills to provide tutoring to students. My dedication to language learning extends beyond the classroom, as I have actively utilized my Spanish skills while interning with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean. During this internship, I interpreted between Spanish, English, and Italian during conferences, demonstrating my ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
Additionally, I have experience working as a mentor and tutor through the COVID Nine-Teen Project, where I provided tutoring and led Spanish activities virtually for elementary students worldwide. This opportunity allowed me to hone my teaching skills and develop strategies to engage students of varying ages and backgrounds in a virtual learning environment. Lastly, I spent the summer working as an Au pair in San Sebastian, Spain, furthering my Spanish language knowledge and culture.
Sincerely,
