I have taught English as a foreign language and life skills.
I have taught in schools, colleges, residential care settings.
I teach Yoga with Art for self expression in creative writing.
I can cater for individuals needs and do bespoke lessons.
In a life coaching manner we can set manageable goals and find creative ways to achieve them .
Using what the student is interested in to lead the focus of learning.
Using pictures and drawing to label and describe. From putting together proposals and mini presentations based on fun. To conversations on topics of interests, writing recipes, short stories and describing our environment.
Drawing from the students culture and interests. Starting conversationally to writing.
I have home schooled and worked in democratic settings that are student led. I also work with people with neuro diverse so finding new ways of learning and adapting is part of my career experience.
I also find a favourite or well know song that we can learn the words to and write out.
These classes have a mixture of chatting, describing, presenting, creative writing, business planning, life skills preparing individuals with CV writing. Honing in on their talents and abilities and using that as a foundation to grow in learning English.
I usually run a 6-10 week goal to work towards. This is then reviewed and self appraised abd we can then move to the next level.
Moreover these classes are fun and satisfying aswell as research orientated in what the student would like to learn more about. Spelling, grammar, colloquialisms, cultural norms are part of the class and most of all confidence in practise.
