I am passionate about learning for both the students I work with and my own professional development. I am committed to providing the best educational experiences to our young people. I strongly believe all children should have equal opportunities, to reach their full potential holistically, and that it is our job as educators to teach and support them. I understand that children work best when they are allowed to be creative, explore their own ideas and process their own learning. I have been fortunate to do my initial teacher training with Red Kite Teacher Training and have received quality teaching, training and support from my mentor and wider professionals. Red Kite has provided a plethora of learning opportunities including inclusion, SEND, planning, marking and curriculum development through face to face and online training, with specialist speakers and practising teachers. I have developed my understanding of these topics and a strong understanding of how cross-curricular links help children to cement their learning through applying their knowledge, within another context to consolidate their knowledge. . During my initial teacher training, I planned and delivered effective lessons spanning all subject areas of the National Curriculum. During this placement, I had the opportunity to observe effective teaching using different styles. I was able to reflect on development points from these observations to improve my practice. During this placement, some students were identified to potentially benefit from additional learning interventions to bridge any gaps in learning caused by the Covid- 19 pandemic. During these interventions I thrived on the challenge of differentiating learning to ensure accessibility to all learners, keeping up the pace of learning and delivering the lessons and interventions
