Engagement is my top priority for you as your tutor, I value lessons where I constantly challenge you with questions and keep you in touch with whatever problem or concept we tackle - from my experience this has been the best way to develop mathematical thinking and is similar to the format we use in university in group tuition sessions.

The content of lessons is completely up to you - any school material you may suggest I can teach off the top of my head. As a passionate mathematician I am also very well versed in many off-curiculum mathematical topics that fascinate students such as godel's incompleteness theorem and the concept of infinity. In my lessons I will try to inspire an interest in maths beyond the curriculum, and have a wide knowledge of reading or watching material.

I qualified for the olympiads following maths challenges 5 times as a child, and achieved merits in all of them. I am completely open to maths challenge and/or olympiad preparation, where I will challenge you much more than most students but only with the end goal of reaping the rewards of competing with the country's top mathematicians. I can also teach for admissions tests to university mathematics such as MAT, STEP and TMUA.

I know how hard maths can be for some students and, unfortunately, how demoralising some teachers and the education system can be. I am an effective communicator and someone with strong opinions around student wellbeing, and will ensure that your journey to becoming a better mathematician is ultimately motivating and empowering.
