Inclusivity is at the core of my teaching style. Nobody should be denied the chance to participate in music based on ability. This is one of my key values when taking on any mentoring. I like to be flexible with my approach and tailor it to the needs of each of my mentees.
I can offer mentoring for casual learners or I can give intensive classes to support pupils in achieving graded qualifications in music, such as ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall in drums.
I am also able to provide basic music theory lessons for anyone who wishes to explore composition as part of their lessons.
For music production, I can offer online lessons in learning how to use any digital audio workstation. I am happy to tailor my lesson to suit the ambitions of the mentee, whether it’s recording a band or solo project. I can also provide lessons for creating electronic music, sound design for film, audiovisual composition or live electronic performance including DJ/VDJ performances.
I am more than happy to take on mentees with additional support needs. I have worked as a support worker and inclusive arts practitioner for many years and I have a kind, caring approach to my teaching style that aims to promote self confidence and aspiration. I don’t believe there should be any barriers to taking part in music.
My lessons last an hour but I am happy to provide extra time to any mentee that wants it. I have flexible working hours and weekend availability.
