My lessons will use a format closely resembling the university teaching style but with a personalised approach, where I cater to your needs based on your requirements. As such, the teaching format involves presenting topics using empirical evidence and breaking the topic down into manageable, digestible chunks. This former follows Q&A to ensure the students catch up with the lesson and allow them to discuss their critical thinking of the topic.
I would tutor psychology, which can range from A-level to a Bachelor's degree level. Topics include cognitive psychology, emotion, developmental, social, historical, applied, etc. My personal best topic is biological/neuro-psychology and attachment theory.
The dynamic of the lessons would be close to colleagues or peer study groups, where expressing your confusion and critical thinking is encouraged to promote a deeper understanding of the topic learned. Although the teaching format may be less formal in certain parts of the tutoring, the teaching section would act as a formal teaching format for information gathering. The feedback received at the end of the Q&A will allow the preparation for the next tutoring section to cater to student's needs.
I have experience working with a large group of students during my university years and have done some personal tutoring volunteer for children with learning disability. With my current degree being an MSc in Psychology, I deeply understand psychology-related topics, data analysis using SPSS and academic writing. These topics will also be taught to the tutees in my lessons.
