Very personal and casual. I believe that private teaching depends on the requirements of the student. I like to keep the lessons interesting and in order to gain a better understanding of a language, understanding a bit of the culture is so important. I would focus on the curriculum for an exam board whilst also making sure that there would be engagement in culture in order to keep the lessons different and interesting. These lessons could involve presentations, conversations, reading, watching, listening but again as I've previously mentioned it has to be adapted to the student. I have worked in classrooms, both at schools and private academies, I have taught in homes and at summer schools and I think that they all have their pros and cons but finding that balance is essential to making sure that whoever the student, they are getting a personalised and tailored experience so that they can learn in the best way for them. I am able to offer casual chats too if there is some basic English/ Spanish understanding that you'd like to work on, or perhaps just learning basics for holidays etc.
I have experience teaching in a variety of scenarios from primary to private to secondary level teaching, all of these differing situations are available to anyone, just let me know exactly what it is you want to get out of the lessons!
Please note due to a fault on the website, I am: a native English speaker, a fluent Spanish speaker and a conversational French and Italian speaker.
