My philosophy is valuing each child, as an individual, as well as being part of a community. This has always been deeply reflected throughout my planning, as I always make sure that the learning is differentiated and suitable for all children’s needs including those with SEN. I always provide a curriculum that is appropriate, balanced, creative, but challenging for the children, so that they can develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding that is needed for them, in order to become more engaged and motivated learners.
I have used a broad range of teaching styles like exploration, differentiation, question led and teaching/child centred approaches, as this increases and enhances my pupils learning outcomes successfully.
Throughout my teaching, it’s important that assessments are conducted regularly, so that so that I can firstly monitor and evaluate the children’s current learning and secondly check if they have achieved their curriculum benchmark. All of my assessments that I have conducted have been recorded in a target tracker, as this would highlight and indicate whether the children were achieving higher, lower or at the expected standard for their year level. By doing this, I am able to identify which areas of learning need to be studied more.
